James Cameron is a famous blockbuster movie Director, Producer, Screenwriter and one of the Hollywood’s Elites. He’s known for many Academy Award winning movies that will go down in history such as Terminator, Aliens, Titanic and Avatar. And his latest screenplay and movie baby is Alita: Battle Angel.
As a movie promotion, their marketing department created a pop-up movie experience to promote the Alita movie. In which they built a small movie set and bar similar to the movie and you could interact with actors, play games and win prizes, all within a set that looked like it was from within the film. My husband is a huge fan of the Alita Japanese Manga series, so when this Pop-Up experience was in our neck of the woods, I purchased several tickets for my friends and us to participate, as a birthday event for myself. And since I bought so many tickets, I was automatically entered into a special drawing to promote the movie as well. Prizes included attending the world premiere of the movie at the red carpet event with the cast and crew, an early private screening of the movie, a tour of the Lightstorm movie studios or a 1-year subscription to LootCrate.
Well, I got super lucky!!! I won an early private screening of the Alita movie that my husband was super stoked for. And the agent I corresponded with about winning was also super kind and extended an extra bonus win to us as well. A tour of the Lightstorm Studios since I was in the Los Angeles area!!! DOUBLE SCORE!!!
My husband was super excited! We got to watch the movie two weeks earlier than the release date in the US. AND we got to visit the James Cameron movie studios where so many props were stored from many of his hit films.
Bear with me and the photos we took. We didn’t think photos would even be allowed so we didn’t think to bring my DSLR camera. So we just used our smartphone. ::sadness::

We first started off in their office building where they kept a lot of figurines and props from big movies like Terminator 2 and Avatar.
The Heart of the Ocean necklace was also on display and we could even put it on to wear it for photos. My photos looked like ass so I’m not posting them. š
We moved on to a warehouse location where they kept large movie props from Aliens, Avatar and Titanic. Like real actual props that were used to film the scenes from the films.
The attention to detail was really awesome. And the workmanship put into each prop was pretty amazing.
It was really cool seeing many of the jewelry used that the actors wore to portray the Na’vi characters in the Avatar film. I’m super excited for the sequel films coming out next year!!!
Plus the prop of the safe after years of being in the ocean.
And of course, can’t forget about the Titanic props. The car is the actual one they used in the film and there’s even the hand print on the back made by Kate Winslet. So they say at least.
The overall tour lasted about 2.5 hours. We had to sign some NDA paperwork and we also got to see John Landau really quick. He was giving a tour to some Hollywood execs. So that was pretty cool. It was a great experience. We wished they had more Alita movie props on display, but they were mostly out on loan to promote the movie at different theater locations. All we got to see was the Dr. Idoās Rocket Hammer that was used by the actor Christoph Waltz.
