Hi there, I’m Patti. My husband, Ilya and I, have lived in sunny Southern California all our lives. We’re both immigrants from foreign countries but immigrated to the United States at a very young age with our parents. He is from Russia and I’m from Taiwan.
We’re both nature and animal lovers. I love to travel whenever I can. My husband loves tech and video games. We’re just an average family, and we live in an average house and we have four average dogs. But being average is old news! We love thinking out of the box and doing things that are beyond average!
When my husband became mysteriously ill with no definitive diagnosis, except to just “wait it out”, I made it my mission to look up fun and unique things to do and places to go. Just so he would have something to look forward to instead of always worrying about not feeling well.
Don’t worry, he is feeling much better now.
March 2022 Update: It turned out he wasn’t feeling much better. He started to relapse in 2021 so we had to return to the doctors. He was finally diagnosed with a rare liver disease in October 2021. And he also had a bile stone obstruction in his liver duct. After 3 separate surgical procedures, we hope that he is finally on the mend. He’s lost close to 30lbs and needs to focus on gaining his weight back.
We love to travel, eat new and interesting foods, experience different cultures and attempt new and exciting ventures. One of the things we realized when my husband came down with his malady was that we were both 40 years old. That jump-started our drive to start a bucket-list so we could get out there and experience the world, whether it’s nearby and close to home or far away in a different land. We’re basically half way through our life span! So it’s time to get cracking!
XOXO ~ Patty & Ilya
