2023 UPDATE

The last couple of years hit my family hard. My beloved dog passed away from a stroke. My husband was diagnosed with liver disease. My mental health has been in distress. And now 2023 has come around and I’ve also developed an unknown illness that’s still being investigated. Getting old sucks!!!

We stopped for a quick lunch in Paso Robles to break up our long drive from San Francisco. The weather was in the 90s!!! It was a huge change from the 50-60F just 4yrs away! We had a nice walk around the Sculpterra Winery and then continued on our drive home.

No visit to SF is complete without visiting the famous big red bridge. We actually did manage to visit the Golden Gate Bridge, kind of. From a distance via an overlook. 😬
It was a cold and misty morning. (Probably about 55F but it felt like 40. I just can’t handle cold weather anymore.)
This overlook is near the Langdon Court parking on the west side of the bridge. It’s pretty easy to find on google maps.

We also visited the SF Botanical Gardens located in the Golden Gate Park. I’m always surprised by how many gardens, nature parks and beautiful botanical scenery is located throughout San Francisco. For such a condensed metropolis city, it’s love for nature is apparent. I wish Los Angeles was like this.

We mistakenly thought the first trio of cute little Victorian homes were the Painted Ladies from the Full House intro because they were so colorful and distinct. But then we realized the actual set of homes were down the street more. They were 6 identical homes just painted in diff colors. I didn’t think they were all that special compared to the first ones we found. 😝

We got to visit one of my favorite places during our trip. The beautiful Conservatory of Flowers at the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. It was so pretty, full of tropical fauna, flowers and more! It was like walking into a rainforest with the humidity, sounds of animals and insects and running water. It was nature enclosed in a beautiful glass building.
